The last day of Carnival, the day before Ash Wednesday.
For Catholics, it used to be the last day to eat and drink a lot, before the lent began.

The front of the beautiful Venetian mask is made with the traditional 3-colors of the Netherlands: Red, glittering-white and blue, and also the National 4th. color: Orange.
The coin features 6 red gemstones.

This Mardi Gras Geocoin was made in at least 18 different versions (worldwide).
100 pieces are made of the Dutch version.
